Due to the 2020 Covid outbreak, it became necessary to cancel most of BMC's in-person seminar schedule. We effectively moved some of those scheduled seminars online using Zoom. Our response to social-distancing demands included the development of 3-hour online IMI Seminars, some Foundations seminars online, and more. We will continue to bring innovative programs for interpreters to the online format, like the Mentoring: Towards a New Paradigm series. Even though we'd love to gather together for these opportunities, the safety and wellbeing of all of us necessitates this ongoing need for online seminars. Consider joining us online. Stay safe.
BMC Policy
In the interest of everyone's health and safety, we will abide by state and federal guidelines on social distancing and limitations on gathering in larger groups.
In light of continuing concerns around the unyielding spread of COVID-19 and its variants, the need for social distancing, and the health risk to participants and presenters, in-person seminars will only occur after evidence that this killer virus has been minimized enough that restrictions are lifted.
We hope to be able to gather together again in 2022, beginning with 2 in-person retreats. First is Our Vygotskyan Journey, followed by the Etna Project 2022. More to come, hopefully. One day at a time.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of friends, family, colleagues, and loved ones.
Take care of yourself and those you love. Wear a mask- it is not a political statement. Wash your hands. Get vaccinated and boosted.
