Working in Teams

This seminar aims to bring together Deaf interpreters teamed with Coda and hearing interpreters. The prerequisite for taking this seminar is Foundations I and II.

The structure of the program is as follows:

In session 1, Coda and hearing interpreters will meet in one group and Deaf interpreters will meet in a separate session. Sessions 2 and 3 will be Deaf/Coda/hearing interpreters working together in teams (8 to 10 teams).
Each session is activity driven with both team and large group exploration. Sessions 2 and 3 will be led in ASL without interpretation.

Attendance at all 3 scheduled sessions is required. 

 *Note: Each of the 3 sessions are 3 hours long. Attendance at all sessions required.

Using Zoom

We are using Zoom as the video platform for our meetings.  This requires that you:

  • Use Zoom on your computer or iPad/tablet
  • The Zoom phone app is not suitable  
  • Have a reliable internet source
  • Participate from a quiet, well-lit location
  • For meetings using audio, headphones are strongly suggested
