Extended Stay at Blue Mountain Retreat Center

If you are planning to attend both Our Vygotskyan Journey and the Etna Project 2022, both taking place at Blue Mountain Retreat Center, BMC has arranged for lodging only as an option from Sunday evening, June 19 through Thursday morning, June 23. You will be responsible for your own meals and will cooperate with the cleaners who will at some point be cleaning the retreat center. More details will be made available soon.

Because you're registered for both Our Vygotskyan Journey and The Etna Project 2022, both being held at Blue Mountain Retreat Center in Knoxville, MD, BMC has made arrangements for those who might be traveling extensively to stay at the retreat center for the additional dates listed below. The cost is for lodging and use of the facility during these dates. You'll need to arrange for your own meals, do your own cooking, and clean up after yourself so that the facility is in clean shape when folks arrive for The Etna Project 2022.

Cost: $50/night x 4 additional nights = $200

No guarantee the internet will be strong enough for people to work remotely.

No catering - guests will cook for themselves and clean up after themselves or find alternate places to eat.

Guests will have to accommodate cleaners who will come in between the two weekends. After the cleaners have finished, please do not dirty another bed. All beds will be needed for Etna Project participants.

There are ample opportunities right on site to walk, run, and explore.

Nearby is historic Harpers Ferry and lots of things to do!

Our Covid cleaning protocols are still in place. Plus both HVACs have an anti viral, anti bacterial anti mold uv light that is very effective. All air in the house is completely purified every 7 hours!

Deaf Interpreter Scholarship Fund

The Deaf Foundations of Interpreting Seminar Series is offered for Deaf Interpreters. This specialized series is for Deaf Interpreters only. Additional seminars conducted in ASL are designed to ensure that Deaf Interpreters have opportunities and choice of high quality professional development.

Donations from the larger interpreting community and other supporters allow BMC to provide these seminars to our Deaf Interpreter colleagues at lower cost.
