Interpreting Field: Myths and Facts
This seminar is conducted in ASL, without interpretation.
It is open to anyone comfortable learning and holding discussion in ASL. It is designed for both working and student interpreters (Deaf, Coda, hearing). There are no prerequisites for this program.
About this seminar
This seminar will examine and debunk some of the myths that exist in our field. We will visit what “providing access” means; what the task of interpreting is; what it means to acquire a second language; and more! Join us for a lively discussion and exploration of our field and the work we do.
