Foundations III Online

This seminar is for spoken English/ASL interpreters (hearing, Coda) who have taken Foundations I & II.

The structure of the program is as follows:

Two groups each with no more than 18 participants.
Each participant will have taken Foundations I & II in the last few years.
Each group will meet once a week over the course of five weeks for 2 or 3 hours every week.
Each session is activity driven and participant directed, working together in both small and large groups.
Attendance at all five meetings is required and will earn 1.3 CEUs in Professional Studies.

About Foundations III Online

This online offering of the Foundations of Interpreting III seminar will meet using Zoom. There will be two separate tracks, with one group meeting Monday nights for 5 weeks, and the other group meeting Saturday mornings for 5 weeks. Click on either of the options above for more specific details including meeting dates and times. 

This seminar has limits on session capacity. The minimum for each online session is 9 participants and the maximum is 18.

CEUs (through MassRID)

RID CMP Continuing Education Units pending. This Professional Studies program is offered at 1.3 PS CEUs/ACETs at all levels (Little/No, Some, Advanced, Teaching) Content Level.

MassRID is an approved RID CMP sponsor for Continuing Education Activities.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

  • Cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing (email, text) to the coordinator before October 2, 2020, in order to receive a full refund. After October 2, 2020, no refunds are available.
  • If the Bilingual Mediation Center has to cancel this training, it will be rescheduled.

Registration Deadline

  • Registration for this seminar will remain open until October 16th at 5pm Eastern time. At that time, if the minimum of 9 registrations for each seminar is reached, registration will remain open until filled to capacity. Having less than 9 registrations at that time may mean rescheduling or cancelling of the seminar.

We are using Zoom as the video platform for our meetings.  This requires that you:

  • Use Zoom on your computer or iPad/tablet (phone app is not suitable)   
  • Have a reliable internet source
  • Participate from a quiet, well-lit location
